The Southern Appalachian Regional Wind Energy Institute (RWEI) provides a means for state wind working groups to better equip themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively communicate and promote wind power in their states.
The focus of the RWEI's activities are in the states of West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina. However, additional education and outreach is provided to Maryland, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia.
